Sewn Open Mouth (SOM)
These bags, as the name suggests, are open mouth bags, which utilize sewn closures for both the top and bottom. Typically gusseted, this flush cut bag has a factory-sewn end. The SOM’s flush cut feature makes it one of the most economical styles of the multiwall bags due to the fact that it allows for more efficient manufacturing on less expensive equipment. Since the bag length can be trimmed it permits use with products that have fluctuating densities.
Though this bag is not classified as sift proof on its own, tape and filler cord can be placed over the sewing, keeping sifting to a minimum.
Another advantage of this bag includes the easy-open feature, also referred to as the ‘grip and rip’.
However, SOM bags are not candidates when end print is required. When the bag is filled, the closure bisects the end of the bag leaving no panel for print.

Minimum Order Quantity Guidelines
Sad, but true, we may not be a good fit for some, and some may not be a good fit for us. We accept this and work even harder to be great in areas where we know our products and services will be most effective for all involved parties. We like to think of it as a 'win-win-win situation', whereas the supplier, customer, and end user all benefit.
With that in mind, please know, that as a custom packaging firm, certain minimum quantities must be respected. The minimum quantity will depend on the particular product. By all means, however, contact us and we'll see what we can do.
